The Science & Technology of Emerging Materials Symposium (STEMS) is an opportunity for researchers to hear from leading experts in the field of quantum materials. The symposium will feature both fundamental science of quantum materials and the application of quantum materials in energy and biology. The symposium will also contain industry panels, student panels, poster sessions and plenty of networking opportunities.
Where and When?
The symposium will be held in Orlando, FL at the University of Central Florida on Nov. 15 -16, 2025.
Why attend?
Participating researchers and students will benefit from attending the conference through:
- Networking with students and faculty from UCF’s CQMIEE PREM center as well as invited speakers and industry partners
- Participating and learning from panels about the PREM experience and careers in materials science
- Learning about the research capabilities and instrumentation of the PREM Center to foster collaboration
- Hearing high quality research talks about different aspects of Emerging Materials from students and leading experts
- Presenting their research in front of materials experts and receiving feedback
Who can apply?
Researchers interested in quantum materials. We especially encourage students (undergraduate, masters, and doctoral) and postdocs to apply. In addition we encourage applicants from other PREM and MRSEC centers nationwide.
How much will it cost?
There is $200 registration fee.
